    Description

This doll was bought in Japan 40 years ago and hand carried back to Boston.
It has real human hair and a silk kimono.
The body is made of plastic but everything is covered in silk.
You can see the detail of the silk painted face is pretty good.
The umbrella can fold but has 2 rips in it since the paper is so old.
It’s about 16” tall and is permanently attached to the wooden base.
Sure you can buy a Chinese made copycat for cheap these days, but this is the real deal, made in Japan.
It comes with the wooden plaque which translates to “Koishegure” by “Yamada Hina”.
The wood and glass case (21H x 13W x 10D”) is worth more than my price and has nice Japanese hand made paper backgrounds.
