No matter where we go in jewelry design one thing that's a sure guarantee, is for the fact that this simple bezel set style will never get boring & will always be favorite earring choice among women.. When an artist wants to showcase some phenomenal looking stones they have on hand, this style works best when they want to put the sole focus on their beauty! You may agree that these definitely stand out because of their simple bezel setting,where nothing distracts from such gorgeous looking rocks & will work as well for a day at the office & or luncheon,as they will for an evening out! They're a very classic style earring!
Displaying a ton of character,these have such an incredible blue & like a fingerprint have their own identity! No they do not have a 'true' turquoise color like most you'll see, but rather more of a blue/blue,with teal undertones. Based on their size,they are highly noticeable on the ear & as you can see from the photos, have lots of spiderwebbing black matrix that can remind you of a populated, congested road map! From my professional opinion,these look to be Chinese turquoise,which is known for some amazing coloring & it's heavy amount of matrix. What I also find impressive is if you look at the backside,the stones are secured,not only in their bezel,but have a bar of sterling that runs across the middle backside to secure their size! (see last 2 photos)
They have a 'non-traditional' southwest look,by having a more contemporary edginess,so they will go perfect with a Native or Non-Native collection & will look as fabulous in the southwest as they will outside the southwest!
Federico is known for his generous material content & even though there's a good amount of sterling in these,a lot of the weight comes from the large chunky cuts of turquoise. So it's a good thing they are clips,since they may be too heavy as a post style for some.

To give you close ups,pictures tend to look much more larger & much more more magnified than in actuality. Close up's make the item look so large & then you get it in hand & you are shocked since the item is much smaller than how they looked in the photos..So to get an accurate idea of how big these are,please either check them out being worn to get a rough idea (photo 2 & 10) or you can pull out a tape measure & compare to my given measurements.
