    Description

    Japanese Takeda Ningyo, depicting a kabuki actor on the stage possibly in the role of Soga no Goro Tokimune, dressed in kinran dragon & cloud brocade textiles and chirimen silk crepe sleeves embroidered in a couched silver wrapped thread rock & wave design, a narrow stance holding an arrow, and a bow with sword at the hip , suit of armor at the back and a cap tied around his neck, the head carved of wood covered in gofun with fine painted features and inset hair, standing on a black lacquered box stage base with embroidered inset front panel.
    Minor losses & restorations, otherwise fine condition.
