Hakata Doll Japanese Geisha Girl Child Japan Sato Hakata Doll Co. 9.75" tall 1950's
this little girl is all dressed up like a Geisha girl....so cute!
She is holding a pallet of some kind in her hand and has a flower up near her face.
on her robe is  Cherry Blossom branches, she is done in light pastel colors of pinks and greens with the exception of her yellow Geta's and belt ...her pallet is red with gold, her flower is red with yellow center.
Two labels on bottom:
SATO HAKATA DOLL CO.  HAKATA, JAPAN  &  MADE IN JAPAN WASHABLE PATENT
She stands 9-3/4" tall x 6" across x 4-1/2" front to back.  She weighs 1 pound 10 ounces.
she appears in great condition until you look a little closer at her neck.....there is a crack running partially around....I think it is the outter material that is cracking....obviously her head was never broke off because her hand which is attached to her head, is intact and there is no damage.   It looks like a sealant was put on this crack so it would stop running.   Please view the close up photos of this.
there is no other areas of concern.
She is cute!!
