Selling today rare Yamaha Shepherds crook Bb Yamaha Pro Cornet only produced from 1972-1977. This cornet model is YCR-631 . Serial range #012xxx made in Japan by Yamaha . Features Red brass 5” inches bell and medium bore . This is a very versatile cornet desired both by jazzers as well as classical soloists. Condition of this horn is excellent near mint, has only very few pin / pencil ✏️ sized pings on the leadpipe near 1st and 2nd valves and I found a couple on the bell going towards flare also very small. There is one scratch on the top of bell crook and minimal scratches on the lacquer from normal not much use over years. There is a small scratch / wear near 3rd slide ring in contact point. Overall awesome shape with clean valves with great compression and no issues smooth valves. Horn was play tested and is ready to play upon receipt , needs nothing to be done . It’s a beautiful and rare instrument and easy to get around registers providing great cornet tone. Recommended to a player who will play it daily . If I would be more a cornet player I would not be selling it here but I’m also limiting my horn collection.
Cornet comes with original case in great shape with working key and Yamaha emblem on top also original cloth and original Yamaha cornet mouthpiece size 9 . This will be size equal around 7C for other brands making mouthpieces like Bach etc..
